How to Make Choke Cherry Jam Tutorial | Homesteadhow.com

In this video, we share with you how to make Choke Cherry Jelly. Such an easy recipe that requires only a few ingredients to make. And tastes amazing and your house smells wonderful!

You can easily can in jelly jars that make great gifts or save for yourself to eat at a later date. We were able to make 22 jars, we will be giving a few away for gifts and keeping the rest for our family. Enjoy and have fun!

Here is the recipe we used:

Ingredients:

3.5 cups chokecherry juice
½ cup fresh lemon juice (optional)
1 teaspoon butter or margarine
1 pkg dry pectin (1.75 oz)
4½ cups of sugar

Instructions:

1.) Pour juices in kettle.
2.) Add pectin, stir.
3.) Bring to a boil, add sugar.
4.) Boil and stir for 2 minutes.
5.) Remove from heat, skim.
6.) Ladle into jars.
7.) Process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
8.) Cool undisturbed for 24 hours.
